We are currently seeking an experienced and reliable Carpenter to join our team, working in and around Huntingdon. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality carpentry and fire protection works across a range of properties.

Key Responsibilities

The ideal engineer will have the skills and experience to complete works to a high standard, including:

• General carpentry works
• Fire door repairs, balancing, and hanging
• Installation of intumescent smoke seals
• Fitting and adjusting locks and door closers
• Fire stopping works to communal cupboards
• Fire sealing around pipes, services, and stud walls
• Minor decoration and touching-up repairs where required

Documentation & Compliance

• Completion of daily job sheets and generic risk assessments for each job
• Taking and submitting clear photographs of before and completed works
• Ensuring all works are carried out in line with current fire safety regulations and company standards

All job sheets, paperwork, and company workwear will be posted to you the week before your start date to ensure you are fully prepared.

Requirements

• Proven experience in carpentry and fire door works
• Knowledge of fire stopping regulations and best practices
• Ability to work independently and manage workload effectively
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
• Full UK driving licence preferred

Location

Work is based in and around Huntingdon, with travel to surrounding areas as required.
